I was a little skeptical of the price of these lights when I bought them, but I wanted to see what 365 nm black lights were all about. When I got them I was impressed with the build quality of both the lights and the power supply, as both seemed to be much nicer than other units I had worked with in the past. However, when I turned these lights on in my living room as a test after the sun went down, I was beyond impressed. I also purchased some black light posters with these lights from a different website, and these lights made the posters glow so brightly they reflected their own light and made the room glow with faint oranges, pinks, and greens. I was also pleased with the lack of "purple" light thrown by these lights because of their lower wavelength. The diodes themselves shine purple, but the rest of the room seems to be lit by the reflections of the other objects in the room fluorescing. Keep in mind I ran this test with the entire reel stretched out on the floor pointing up towards the ceiling. Using the sticky tape already attached to the back of the strip to mount these to the wall would surely magnify the black light effect. The lights do run hot, but that is to be expected with the LED density/intensity of these lights. If you want a true black light effect that is easy to install, and looks like what you imagine what you hear "black light room," look no further. If you are willing to pay more for a quality build and a fantastic result, these are the lights for you."
