D50 Lighting™ 5000K A19 LED Bulb for Color Matching (ISO3664:2000)

Extremely cost-effective
As the nation's largest printer, we print over 8000 publications. One smaller title had a color-complaint. Event thought our proofs vs. their cover, didn't match. So our Plant Manager and head of Color-Reproduction flew to NYC to discover they had NOTHING in controlled lighting to examine our product. Just junky office-fluorescents. Retail LED-replacements are a little better, deficient in cyan (needed for Afro-American skin) and red (skin tones, meat, makeup, wines). Without a $6000 color-booth or a $2700 table-top viewing station, we used a D50 lamp in a $2.99 Goodwill tabletop lamp, turned off the overheads, and showed... they matched. We DONATED the lamp (under $20) and bet we'll get no more $2000 trips for nothing. These lamps should be used in every rug-shop, gallery, paint store (perhaps the D65 lamp) and clothing aisle to avoid the mis-matches and returns caused by poor lighting."
