Great color, light intensity, more up than down
Ok, I purchased two 6-packs of these and all arrived within a week and no damage. They all work. Light intensity and color range is great ! We already sense the better balance of color and range of reds from this bulb compared to the previous LED A19 60W bulbs we had purchased from Home Depot. These are easier on the eyes. Light intensity is best **above** the table lamps in which they are installed. That’s because the design of the bulb blocks maybe a quarter to a third of that intensity from below the bulb. That makes it marginal for reading by older folks (who tend to require more light to read) unless the lampshade is translucent white and of a flared design that “reflects” light downward from the middle and upper portion of the bulb. I have lamps with somewhat opaque woven cane shades that are straight cylindrical design. The older 60W LED bulbs that I used were more of a standard A19 style and emitted light evenly all around , upward and downward. These have a solid, opaque base that extends maybe a third of the way from the screw base to just below the bulbs widest diameter. That solid lower portion causes noticeably decreased illumination below the lamp. I mention this for potential buyers to understand the effect of this bulbs design. I believe it shouldn’t be a show stopper for the majority of homeowners. Just know that the application should considered, and lampshade design can either help or hinder this bulb. Otherwise I rate the bulb very good."
