CENTRIC HOME™ Flicker-Free A21 15W LED Bulb
★★★★★
The gold standard for Color and Tint
I've been using Waveform's products for a year now and I'm very much happy with their lights so far. It's difficult to find any LED's in stores that have more white color options other than 2700k or 5000k. They often have nothing in between nor have a CRI 95+. Our basement is pretty dark with little natural light shining through, so we needed the extra brightness and we'll often leave it on all day while working at home. These deliver that, and are what I needed to replace the remaining lamps in our basement, and since it only uses 15w that makes it great for reducing costs on our electricity bill long term. Many praise the flicker free qualities and I can attest to that. Usually when our AC starts up, our older lights would sometimes flash quickly, but with these, you couldn't see it at all. It really shows how much Waveform made effort to making sure these lights are up to quality. The tint is beautiful as always, with a neutral, but slightly rosy tint. It just makes your house feel more comfortable to be in and it really brings out the colors and decor in our house especially the reds, like old incandescent and halogen lights would. I've yet to see any store bought LED that can reproduce light as similar as Waveform's, and once you start placing them in your house, you'll understand how important light quality is. If there was any criticism, they are unfortunately, a bit directional as someone mentioned. (To be fair, most typical LED bulbs aren't full 360 degrees anyways, unless they are a filament LED bulb) They do best in fixtures that face the light bulb down so as to get more light facing downwards when doing task work, but otherwise it's fine regardless of direction. Waveform does sell LED filament bulbs, but that's at a lower 450 lumens. I'm hopeful they'll release a 800 lumen or even a 1600 lumen version for that some day as those can actually be dimmed as well. Having the ability to dim would be nice, but these ones don't have any flicker to them, so it's something else to consider. Maybe in the future Waveform will consider making a color temp adjustable LED bulb and expanding it across their other lights. Smart LED bulbs are quickly becoming popular in homes, There's now smart bulbs that have a CRI of 90+ that are becoming available in the market, but many still lack the high CRI that Waveform makes and often the color temperature or tint isn't consistent, which is why I haven't made a huge jump on those quite yet. Having the ability to adjust the color temperature depending on the day is quite the game changer. Waveform bulbs can be quite expensive, but knowing their excellent customer service and their willingness to do better, It's worth the extra cost knowing how many other manufacturer's can cut corners to save costs, and knowing they may not last as long making you replace the bulbs frequently. Fortunately Waveform stands by their products and they will happily help if there's anything wrong with their light bulbs under their warranty. Would highly recommend."
