The dimmable power supply unit takes line voltage (i.e. AC 100 - 277 V) from a dimmed circuit, and converts the AC line voltage to low voltage (DC 24V). The unit automatically converts the dimming signal on the AC line voltage side to the appropriate DC dimming signal (PWM) for the LED strip lights. This product is designed to be hard-wired to line voltage wires and should not be used with a standard wall-plug receptacle.
INPUT: AC 100-277 V + DIMMING
Most wall-dimmers are designed to be mounted directly into the wall, connecting directly to the lighting circuit wiring inside the wall. Please reference the instructions provided by the wall-dimmer unit for further specific installation instructions. Wall-dimmers typically have a maximum wattage rating. Ensure that you do not exceed this rating by connecting too many power supplies on a single dimmer circuit.
INPUT: DC 24V + DIMMING
This LED strip has 16 AWG wires pre-mounted on both ends of the reel. The wire length is 13.8 inches (35 cm) and has tips stripped and tinned for quick and easy connection to power supply leads.
This LED strip is configured as a 16.4 ft (5 meter) reel. It can be cut to shorter lengths as needed, in 2 inch (50 mm) increments using a pair of scissors. This configuration shows the entire reel used in a single continuous run without any turns or interruptions.

If leaving leads attached, we recommend terminating or insulating wires to reduce short circuit risk
If last LED strip section is cut, the LED strip does not require any insulation or protection as the risk of a short circuit or electric shock across the copper pads is relatively low due to the low voltage DC design.

Each power supply is capable of powering a maximum of one reel (16.4 ft / 5 meters). When connecting more than one reel, use a second power supply (as shown here). Multiple power supplies can be connected in parallel to each other to the same dimmer circuit, allowing all LED strip reels to be dimmed synchronously.
This section is connected to a separate power supply, but is controlled by a the same dimmer switch on the AC line voltage side. Therefore, the light output of this LED strip section will be synchronized to that of the LED strip section above.
