Which product to choose to make a desk or overhead office lamp with?
I work with computers but find the yellow light quality poor, and was thinking I'd order some high-quality full spectrum light from you in hopes it will make for a more pleasant environment. Occasionally I work with color, too -- graphic design and 3D modeling, and photo work. I am in the northern hemisphere where winters are long so I also thought a full spectrum blue light would work well for the first half of the day as the sun is low. I was thinking of either the Absolute Series LED module or the 5m strip. Would you recommend either making an overhanding (from the ceiling) or standing-on-desk work desk lamp? Anyone of these, in particular, better suited for my purpose?
While both products are able to provide identical 99 CRI output, I might recommend the ABSOLUTE SERIES™ LED Flexible Strip over the module for your office, as it is compatible with more mounting channel products due to it having the more common 10mm LED strip width.
The modules have less commonly used dimensions (11 inches x 0.78 inches), which might make finding preferable housing for the product slightly more difficult unless you would prefer to fashion your own.
As an additional product for your workspace, you may also be interested in the Sidewinder™ LED Flex Strip for D65 Bias Lighting, which is able to provide 6500K bias lighting for installations where D65 color calibration is important.
